Tournament Format

All eight teams are together in one big division. Everyone plays three round-robin games, and we try to match teams against opponents from outside their own league whenever possible. After the round robin, all eight teams move on to the quarterfinals. Teams are ranked 1 through 8 based on the standings, using the tie-breaker rules if needed. The four quarterfinal winners move on to the semi-finals. Those teams are again ranked using the tournament standings, with the tie-breaker rules applied if necessary.
